Bailey on Arsenal radar?

Arsenal could reportedly go head-to-head with Chelsea in the race to sign Leon Bailey from Bayer Leverkusen during the summer transfer window.

The 22-year-old has been heavily linked with a Premier League move in recent seasons and it appears that he could eventually part ways with Leverkusen this summer.

Earlier this week, a report claimed that the Blues were keeping a close eye on the attacker's performances and they could be willing to pay a club-record £85m fee to sign the Jamaican.

However, a fresh story from The Express claims that the Gunners also hold a keen interest in the former Genk youngster and they could battle it out with their London rivals for the player's services.

It is added that the Gunners may have to offload Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from their ranks in order to recoup the majority of the funds required for the purchase of Bailey.

Aubameyang has less than 16 months remaining on his existing deal with the Gunners and he has been fancied to head through the exit door this summer unless he extends his contract. He is currently valued at £50m.
