Chelsea join race to sign Arsenal striker
Chelsea have reportedly joined the likes of Barcelona and Manchester United in the race to sign Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The 30-year-old has been an integral part of the Gunners setup over the past two years but his future remains uncertain with his contract expiring in 16 months' time.
As a result, he has been linked with Barcelona and Manchester United in recent days and 90min claims that Frank Lampard's side are also in the running to sign the former Borussia Dortmund man.
The Gunners are likely to cash in on Aubameyang this summer rather than releasing him on a free in June 2021 and reports claim that he could be sold for a cheaper price of around £35m.
Aubameyang, who has scored 61 goals from 97 games for the Gunners, is understood to want assurances of European football with the club next season before considering the contract renewal.
The Gunners are currently three points adrift of a Europa League spot with a game in hand. They may have to wait until July to know their final league position, given the season's suspension due to the coronavirus pandemic.
