AC Milan looking into deal for Chelsea defender

AC Milan could reportedly revive their interest in signing Andreas Christensen from Chelsea during the summer transfer window.

The Dane has been in-and-out of the starting lineup under Frank Lampard this term and he has been restricted to 15 Premier League appearances.

The Blues are likely to move for a new central defender this summer and that could tempt Christensen to pursue a fresh challenge, where he is assured of a regular starting spot.

According to Calciomercato, the Rossoneri have been monitoring the Dane's situation and will make an approach when the transfer window reopens in the summer.

The same outlet claims that the club are eyeing a 'reliable defender' to accompany Alessio Romagnoli at the heart of the defence and Christensen fits their requirements.

Christensen has been almost ever-present for the Blues in the backend of the season. Still, he is said to hold concerns with Lampard wanting another high-profile centre-back in the ranks next term.
