Mesut Ozil's agent speaks on the German's Arsenal future
Mesut Ozil's agent speaks on the German's Arsenal future
The agent of Mesut Ozil has insisted that the midfielder is 'very happy' at Arsenal and has no plans of heading through the exit door during the next transfer window.
Ozil's career has been on a decline over the past couple of years and in the current campaign, he has contributed just one goal and two assists from 18 Premier League appearances.
His present deal with the north London side expires at the end of next season but it appears that he would see out the remainder of the contract rather than pursuing a fresh challenge elsewhere this summer.
Speaking to Goal.com, agent Erkut Sogut said that the German is 'more than happy' with the proceedings at the capital outfit and considers north London as 'his home'.
"Ozil is more than happy at the Emirates Stadium. He loves the club, he loves the fans and he loves the city. This is his seventh year as a Gunner and he loves being a part of the Arsenal community. That is his home," he told.
Ozil was in-and-out of the starting lineup under ex-boss Unai Emery but the case has been different with Mikel Arteta at the helm. He has started each of the previous 10 Premier League matches for the Gunners.
