Solskjaer satisfied with left-back options

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly satisfied with the left-back options at hand and has instructed the club to focus on strengthening other areas of the field.

Over the past year, the Red Devils have been touted to sign a new left-sided defender, who could potentially compete with Luke Shaw for a regular starting spot.

However, the current season has seen the emergence of Brandon Williams from the club's academy and Solskjaer is prepared to work with the youngster rather than making a new purchase.

The 19-year-old has made 26 appearances in all competitions during his debut season with the senior squad and out of those, 19 have come from the starting lineup.

Both him and Shaw have started together during the backend of the current campaign whereby the latter has been utilised in the back three alongside Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof.

United are expected to make a couple of marquee signings ahead of next season. Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish are presently regarded as the prime transfer targets for the club.
