Real Madrid star to reject Arsenal for Everton move
Real Madrid attacker James Rodriguez is reportedly prepared to snub advances from Arsenal in order to join Everton during the next transfer window.
The Colombian has endured an injury-plagued campaign with Los Blancos this term and he has been restricted to just 13 appearances in all competitions for the club.
Rodriguez's current deal is due to expire at the end of the next season and reports claim that the 28-year-old will be sold by Los Blancos when the transfer window reopens.
According to Marca, both Arsenal and Everton are interested in the ex-Porto man but he is prepared to reject a move to the Emirates Stadium in order to reunite with manager Carlo Ancelotti at the Toffees.
Ancelotti has previously coached Rodriguez at both Real Madrid and Bayern Munich and it is thought that the experienced head coach tried to bring him to Napoli last summer.
Everton are likely to target high-profile signings ahead of the 2020/21 season and they have also been linked with Wales duo Aaron Ramsey and Gareth Bale, who are at Juventus and Real Madrid respectively.
