Everton open talks to sign Napoli marksman

Everton want Milik

Everton have reportedly opened negotiations with Napoli regarding a possible move for Arkadiusz Milik during the next transfer window.

Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti has brought the best out of Dominic Calvert-Lewin following his arrival in December and the youngster has netted eight goals from the past 12 appearances.

Still, the Italian is said to be a high-profile striker to provide competition and Arena Napoli claims that he could make a raid on his former club Napoli to sign Milik.

Milik has struggled with injuries during his time in Naples but he was still impressive last term under Ancelotti as he scored 20 goals across all competitions.

The Toffees are said to be planning a £26.5m bid for the Poland international but reports claim that Napoli won't accept anything less than £44m for the former Ajax man.

Milik's current deal with the Serie A outfit expires at the end of next season and that could compel them to sanction his sale for the best price on the table.
