Chelsea striker on his way to Inter Milan
French striker Olivier Giroud will join Inter Milan on a free transfer when his Chelsea contract expires during the summer.
Giroud had agreed personal terms with the Nerazzurri in January but he was denied a move after the Blues could not land a replacement.
Giroud has since benefited with a regular run of games in the Premier League and he has been in good form, having scored a couple of goals.
Still, he has been tipped to leave the Blues, considering they are only willing to offer him a one-year extension compared to the Nerazzurri's proposal for two seasons with the option for a third.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the 2018 World Cup winner will be heading to the San Siro at the end of the season and a pre-contract agreement could be finalised for the same.
Aside from Giroud, the Italian giants are also looking at the prospect of signing Dries Mertens on a Bosman move when his contract concludes with Napoli in the coming months.
