Liverpool favourites to sign Kalidou Koulibaly
Liverpool are reportedly ahead of Manchester United and Real Madrid in the race to sign Kalidou Koulibaly at the end of the season.
The Senegal international has been linked with a Premier League move for a number of years and reports have recently emerged that Napoli are willing to sanction his sale.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, a number of clubs have expressed an interest in the centre-back but the Reds are said to have the advantage in the transfer pursuit.
Jurgen Klopp's side are keen on partnering Koulibaly with Virgil van Dijk next season and they are prepared to tempt Napoli by offering Dejan Lovren as part of the transfer agreement.
Napoli were holding out for around £87m for Koulibaly earlier in the year but the price is expected to reduce amid the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
The 28-year-old has been with the Naples outfit for nearly six years. He has made 233 appearances during this period but has not won a major trophy aside from the Italian Super Cup.
