Arsenal favourites to sign Eredivisie midfielder

Arsenal are reportedly the favourites to land the signature of Orkun Kokcu from Feyenoord during the next transfer window.

The midfielder is regarded as one of the brightest midfield talents playing in the Eredivisie and his form has caught the eye of several elite sides including Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

However, a report from Marca claims that Mikel Arteta's side are leading the race to land his signature and they are likely to make a formal approach in the coming months.

The north London outfit have been keeping a close eye on the midfielder's progress over the past year and the same has been previously confirmed by the player's agent.

Still, it is unclear how the Gunners will afford the move, considering they are not in a position to make straight-cash deals, particularly with the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

The capital outfit are considering the sale of a number of players ahead of the summer. Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Sokratis are among those, who could be shown the exit door.
