Arsenal to renew interest in Nabil Fekir?

Nabil Fekir news

Fekir wanted by Arsenal?

Arsenal could renew their long-term interest in Nabil Fekir this summer as they seek to find a replacement for Daniel Ceballos.

Ceballos joined the Gunners on a season-long loan from Real Madrid last summer and he has made 24 appearances during the course of the current campaign.

While he has caught the eye with a few standout displays, the Gunners' hierarchy have not been impressed with the consistency shown by the Spaniard and they are unlikely to make an attempt to sign him permanently.

According to The Star, the north London side are already looking into a replacement for Ceballos and they have identified Fekir as one of the prime targets for the next transfer window.

Fekir is presently in the ranks of Real Betis where he has impressed with seven goals and six assists in the league this season. The Gunners had the chance to sign him for £22m from Lyon last summer but they opted for the loan move for Ceballos instead.

Ceballos has generally preferred to operate in the centre of the park when compared to Fekir, who is an attacking midfielder by trade. As a result, the Frenchman is definitely not a like-for-like replacement.
