Arsenal to swoop for Aston Villa defender?

Arsenal are reportedly one of the clubs in the running to sign Tyrone Mings, suppose Aston Villa are relegated from the Premier League this term.
Mings joined the Villains on a permanent deal from Bournemouth last summer after a successful loan spell and he has since made 25 appearances in the top-flight.
The centre-back has caught the eye with his ability to make key clearances in the box but despite his efforts, the Villains find themselves in a position where they could be relegated.
According to The Athletic, the Gunners are among the top clubs monitoring the situation of Mings and they could make a bid of around £20m to sign him, suppose the Villains fail to beat the drop.
The north London side were heavily linked with a move for the central defender when he was previously at Ipswich Town, but they did not make a serious attempt to sign him back then.
Dean Smith's side are presently one point adrift of safety with eight games to play. They have a realistic chance of survival, but their form has been dreadful with just one point from the previous six games.
