Arsenal in advanced talks to sign Red Bull Salzburg star

Arsenal are reportedly in advanced negotiations with Red Bull Salzburg to acquire the services of Hungarian midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai.

The Gunners have been hampered financially due to the coronavirus pandemic but they are still expected to make a few signings this summer.

According to French journalist Manu Lonjon, the Gunners have been in regular contact with Salzburg for Szoboszlai and they are likely to make a formal bid in the coming weeks.

Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with the 19-year-old's services but Lonjon claims that the Gunners and AC Milan are presently in advanced talks with Salzburg for the Hungarian.

Szoboszlai is capable of playing anywhere in the midfield and he has hugely impressed for the Austrian giants with 15 goals and 22 assists from 58 appearances in all competitions.

The teenager has another two years remaining on his contract with Salzburg and it is claimed that he could be available for an affordable fee of around £25m this summer.
