Manchester United enter race to sign Arsenal midfielder

Manchester United are understood to be keeping a close eye on the situation of Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Frenchman is presently in his second season with the Gunners and he has been a regular for the first-team, having already made 82 appearances in all competitions.

Guendouzi has developed into a much better player over the past two years with the club, but there are still said to be concerns over his attitude, which has seen him getting dropped from the matchday squad on occasions.

A recent report revealed that Guendouzi could be heading for the exit door this summer with his agent having opened talks with the likes of Barcelona and Inter Milan.

L'Equipe now claims that the Red Devils are monitoring the proceedings of the former Lorient man and they could make a bid for the versatile midfielder at the end of the season.

The Red Devils are currently stocked with multiple options in the centre of the park, but they are still said to be on the search for a young midfielder to add to their squad this summer.
