Badiashile on Man United radar

Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for French defender Benoit Badiashile, who is presently contracted to AS Monaco.

The 19-year-old has made 41 appearances for the Principality outfit since his breakthrough last term and his performances have caught the eye of many European sides.

Bayer Leverkusen are deemed to have already failed with a £18m bid for his services and Footmercato claims that the Red Devils could make an offer of their own for the teenager.

Monaco are currently facing financial difficulties following the early end to the season due to the coronavirus pandemic and they are looking to offload a few players to balance their financial books.

Badiashile has more than four years remaining on his contract with the Ligue 1 outfit, but reports claim that they will accept offers of more than £27m to sanction his sale.

Monaco ended the recent campaign in the ninth position with 40 points. They finished just one point behind fifth-placed Nice on the table.

Nice will be assured of a Europa League spot, should Paris Saint-Germain win either the Coupe de France or Coupe de la Ligue next month.
