Arsenal to offer Alexandre Lacazette in Thomas Partey deal?
Arsenal could reportedly offer Alexandre Lacazette as a makeweight to sign midfielder Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid this summer.
The Gunners are keen on landing the signature of Partey from Atleti, but they are currently not in a position to trigger the £45m release clause on his contract.
Hence, they could resort to a player-plus-cash deal to sign the Ghana international and French publication L'Equipe claims that Lacazette could head in the opposite direction.
Lacazette has been a long-term target for the Madrid giants and he was fancied to join them during the summer of 2017 before they were banned from signing players by FIFA.
Diego Simeone's side have continued to be linked with his services over the past few years and it appears that the Gunners could use the interest to their benefit to land Partey's signature.
Partey has already given the go-ahead to join the Gunners in the next transfer window and reports claim that the north London giants are prepared to triple his current wages, should the move go through.
