Chelsea keen on signing Manchester City star?
Chelsea are reportedly said to hold an interest in signing John Stones from Manchester City during this summer's transfer window.
The Blues are on the search for a new centre-back ahead of next season with manager Frank Lampard wanting to improve their defensive record.
The west London side have remained in the top four for almost the entire season but their defensive displays have been pretty average.
In the 37 games played, they have conceded 54 goals and that is currently the worst record among the top 11 teams in the Premier League.
According to Football Insider, the Blues are keeping tabs on the situation of Stones at the Etihad and they could lure him in a possible summer deal.
Stones is no longer regarded as a regular starter under Pep Guardiola and he has managed only 419 minutes of league football in 2020.
The England international is likely to be sold when the transfer window reopens and the Blues could land him for a fee less than £50m.
