Frank Lampard insists David Luiz is not Arsenals weak point

Lampard speaks on David Luiz ahead of FA Cup final

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has said that he has a lot of respect for David Luiz ahead of the FA Cup final against Arsenal on Saturday.

Luiz made the surprise move from the Blues to the Gunners last summer and he has been a regular for the north London side over the course of the season.

The centre-back has experienced a mixed bag of performances during that time, but he played a key part in the club's 2-0 win over Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final.

Speaking in a press conference, Lampard was asked whether Luiz is the Gunners' weak point and he refuted the suggestion by saying that the Brazilian will be a big player in the FA Cup final.

"No, I certainly haven't. I played with him as a team-mate in the Champions League in 2012 and the bond of that group was huge. David was a big personality, a big player within that," He told via Chelseafc.com.

"When I think about preparing for a game against Arsenal with David in the team, I know how good he can be and the influence he will be in the team. So I look at him in that way, absolutely."

Both teams are likely to line up with three central defenders for the Cup final. The Blues will go into the club as the slight favourites over the Gunners and it remains to be seen whether they are on the winning side.
