Chelsea are reported to have enquired over the availability of Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior earlier in the year.

The Blues have already bolstered their attack with the signings of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech, and they are still aiming to add more their ranks.

Bayer Leverkusen attacker Kai Havertz has been regularly linked with the club in recent weeks, but according to AS, the Blues are said to have enquired over Vinicius' position.

The Brazilian is currently contracted to Los Blancos until the summer of 2025, but there are doubts regarding his future after managing just 14 starts in the La Liga and Champions League combined last term.

It remains unclear whether the west London side will make a formal offer for the former Flamengo graduate, particularly with Havertz fancied to join the club this summer.

The Blues have yet to meet the £90m asking price set by Bayer Leverkusen, but they are said to be growing confident of signing the forward for an initial fee of around £70m.
