Arsenal open to Martinez sale

Arsenal are willing to part ways with goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez during the current transfer window, a report from The Athletic claims.

The Argentine impressed in goal during the final weeks of the previous campaign following the short-term knee injury for Bernd Leno.

Martinez has recently said that he won't stay with the Gunners next term without the assurance of regular game time and it appears that the club are willing to sell him.

The likes of Valencia and Sevilla are in the running to land his signature. While the north London side value him at around £20m, Martinez is hoping that the club will allow him to leave for a lesser fee as a goodwill gesture.

Martinez has spent a decade with the Gunners, but he has never got the chance to become the club's first-choice goalkeeper. He has certainly built his reputation last term on the back of some standout performances.

So far, there have been no official bids for his signature, but it won't come as a surprise, if they are numerous offers on the table once he is made available in the transfer market.
