AC Milan are reportedly on the cusp of signing Tiemoue Bakayoko on loan from Chelsea for a second time.

The Rossoneri had previously signed Bakayoko on a temporary deal for the 2018/19 campaign and he was impressive during his 43 appearances in all competitions.

The Serie A side did not take up the option to buy amid their tight financial situation and that saw Bakayoko make the return to former club AS Monaco on loan for the 2019/2020 season.

Similarly to Milan, Monaco decided against triggering the buy clause and it appears that the midfielder could now make a comeback with the Rossoneri this summer.

According to Gianluca di Marzio, Stefano Pioli's side are in advanced negotiations over another loan move for Bakayoko and the deal could be finalised in the next 48 hours.

They are likely to pay a small loan fee upfront with the option to buy for around £30m. Bakayoko will be hoping that he can seal a permanent transfer with another solid season with the San Siro giants.
