Manchester United to hold talks with Brazilian defender's agent

The agent of Alex Telles has reportedly travelled to England in order to negotiate the defender's transfer to Manchester United.

The 27-year-old had a superb 2019/2020 season with Porto where he contributed 13 goals and 12 assists from the left-back position.

He is now expected to pursue a fresh challenge elsewhere, given he has rejected to sign a new contract with the club beyond next season.

According to The Mirror, United are one of the clubs interested in signing the left-back, who made his senior debut for Brazil last year.

It is added that the Mancunian giants are scheduled to hold talks with his representative, who has recently arrived in England.

Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams are the regular left-back choices for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but the fitness of the former has been a concern.

Hence, the Norwegian is reportedly keen on a new signing, who can potentially command the starting role ahead of the England international.

Meanwhile, Williams has only recently signed a long-term deal with the Red Devils, but he is still fairly inexperienced at the senior level.
