Manchester United goalkeeper close to exit
Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero is reportedly close to pursuing a fresh challenge away from the club.
The Argentine has been with the Red Devils for the past five years, but he has been unable to displace David de Gea for the number one role.
He is now the third-choice keeper with the progress of Dean Henderson and it appears that he will head through the exit door in the coming days.
According to The Mirror, the 33-year-old is attracting interest from Valencia, who are prepared to part ways with current first-choice Jasper Cillessen.
It is added that Los Che are aiming to negotiate a fee of around £6m for Romero whose contract expires at the end of the current campaign.
Romero was previously on the radar of Aston Villa before they spent £20m for the purchase of Emiliano Martinez from Arsenal.
He has also been on the radar of Leeds United and Everton, but neither of those teams have made a formal approach to sign him.
