Liverpool keen to complete deal for Turkish star
Liverpool are looking into a potential move for Ozan Kabak as they look to add another central defender to the squad.
The Reds parted ways with Dejan Lovren to Zenit St Petersburg earlier this summer, but they have yet to pursue a replacement.
Hence, they are left with only Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip as the senior centre-backs and the club may seek to address the issue.
According to Transfermarkt, the Reds are looking to add more depth at the heart of the backline and Schalke's Kabak has emerged as an option.
The Reds have also been linked with a move for Sevilla's Diego Carlos, but Kabak is regarded as the more affordable option.
Carlos is valued at more than £50m by Sevilla. In comparison, Kabak could be available for just £22m this summer.
Liverpool started their league season with a 4-3 win over Leeds United. They are scheduled to face Chelsea on the road on Sunday.
