Leeds United make formal bid for Championship attacker
Leeds United have made a formal bid of £15m to land the signature of Todd Cantwell from Norwich City.
The Peacocks have bolstered their squad with multiple signings this summer, but Rodrigo has been the only offensive addition.
According to Football Insider, Leeds are looking into signing an attacking midfielder and Cantwell has been identified as the prime transfer target.
It is added that the club have lodged a formal offer of £15m for the 22-year-old, who registered six goals and two assists in the Premier League last term.
Cantwell had been linked with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool earlier this summer, but neither have made an approach to sign him.
Leeds are now deemed as the favourites to secure his services and it remains to be seen whether they can convince the Canaries into a sale.
Cantwell played the first two games of the new Championship season, but he was left out for the recent loss at Bournemouth amidst the speculation.
