N'Golo Kante heading for Chelsea departure?
French midfielder N'Golo Kante is reportedly open to considering a fresh challenge away from Chelsea before the transfer deadline.
Kante had a frustrating 2019/2020 season hampered by injuries, but he is still regarded as one of the club's most influential players.
Blues boss Frank Lampard has personally stated that he has no plans of selling Kante, but that has not ceased the speculation.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, it is claimed that Kante would be happy to secure a reunion with former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte at Inter.
The same publication adds that the Blues could be tempted to sell him for £46m, but the Nerazzurri need to make at least one sale to meet the price.
Kante has been ever-present for the west London giants since the start of the 2020/21 Premier League season.
The Blues are currently looking into a new defensive midfielder with West Ham United's Declan Rice being the main target.
The arrival of the England international could pave the way for the departure of either Kante or Jorginho before the October 5 deadline.
