Liverpool decide against signing new goalkeeper

Liverpool have reportedly decided against signing a new goalkeeper before the domestic transfer deadline on Friday.
The Reds are expected to be without Alisson for at least five weeks following a shoulder injury and that leaves Adrian as the only experienced shot-stopper.
Adrian started his Reds career on a good note last year, but his form has been poor in 2020. He has been susceptible to numerous errors leading to goals and he recently shipped seven goals in the shock defeat to Aston Villa.
It was recently reported that the club will attempt to sign Stoke City's Jack Butland and the Englishman could potentially make his debut against Everton in the Merseyside derby.
However, according to The Mirror, that won't be the case. Jurgen Klopp is satisfied with the options at hand and he is prepared to place his trust on Adrian over the coming weeks.
Irrespective of this, Butland could be on the move for the transfer window closes after losing the number one spot to Wales international Adam Davies since the backend of last season.
