United without Bailly, Lingard for Leipzig clash

Manchester United will be without Jesse Lingard and Eric Bailly for the upcoming Champions League clash against RB Leipzig at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils started their European campaign in fine fashion with a 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain last week where Marcus Rashford starred with a late winner.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was without Harry Maguire and Mason Greenwood for that game with minor injuries, but the duo returned to action in the goalless draw against Chelsea last weekend.

Hence, Lingard and Bailly (both muscular) are the only players out on the sidelines with injuries and they are still a couple of weeks away from returning to first-team action.

United are scheduled to face Leipzig for the first time in their history. They have the chance to register back-to-back wins to boost their prospects of reaching the round of 16.

Edinson Cavani had an interesting cameo against Chelsea on Saturday and it will be interesting to see whether he is handed his maiden start against the Bundesliga leaders.
