Everton to compete with Liverpool for Torino defender?
Everton could reportedly go head-to-head with Liverpool in the race to sign Bremer from Torino in January.
The reigning English champions are likely to be without Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez for the rest of the season and that is expected to see them spend on a new centre-back.
Bremer has been mentioned as one of the potential transfer targets, but The Liverpool Echo claims that they could face competition from arch-rivals Everton for his services.
Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti has been critical over the club's defending over the past few games and he is keen to freshen things up at the back during the January transfer window.
Bremer has made 48 appearances for Torino since his arrival from Atletico Mineiro two years ago. He has been impressive for the Serie A side at the back despite their poor start to the league season.
He still has more than two years remaining on his contract, but both clubs are hopeful of landing his signature for an affordable price at the turn of the year.
