United to focus on player sales in January

Manchester United will reportedly prioritise the sale of unwanted players during the winter transfer window.

The Red Devils had a tough summer where they were unable to offload some of their out-of-favour players.

The likes of Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo and Sergio Romero were linked with permanent exits, but no deals materialised before the deadline.

According to Manchester Evening News, United are likely to prioritise player sales in January and the above-mentioned trio could be sold.

Still, the club are unlikely to accept cut-price deals and they will insist on their valuations being met by the interested clubs.

Aside from the quartet, versatile defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah is also considering his future after managing just 95 minutes of football this term.

United have made a slow start to the Premier League campaign and they are currently 14th on the table with 10 points on the board.

They are scheduled to host West Bromwich Albion this weekend. The Baggies beat them in the same fixture two years ago.
