Manchester United receive midfield injury boost

Pogba could return for Basaksehir clash

Manchester United have received an injury boost with midfielder Paul Pogba back in training after recovering from a minor knee concern.

The Frenchman has experienced a mixed start to the current campaign with United and he has found himself on the bench on a number of occasions.

Pogba did not make the matchday squad for the 1-0 win over West Brom due to a minor knee injury, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that he could be in the mix for the midweek Champions League clash.

"We hope he's [Pogba] going to be available. He trained this morning. See if there's any reaction when we report tomorrow," He was quoted as saying by the club's official website.

Should Pogba be deemed fit, he may have to settle for a substitute role against Istanbul Basaksehir on Tuesday, considering he has been inconsistent with his performances this term.

The Mancunian giants are currently top of their Champions League group on goal difference over RB Leipzig, who are three points ahead of Paris Saint-Germain.

They suffered a shock 2-1 defeat to Istanbul Basaksehir on the road during the previous matchday and Solskjaer will expect a much better performance from his side in the reverse fixture tomorrow.
