Manchester United planning to sign Leicester City centre-back?
Manchester United could reportedly make a surprise move to re-sign Jonny Evans from Leicester City during the January transfer window.
The centre-back made 198 appearances for United between 2006 and 2015 before he made the switch to West Bromwich Albion.
Over the past three years, he has been contracted to the Foxes, where he is an undisputed starter when fit and available.
Evans' current deal with the Foxes expires at the end of the current campaign and so far, there has been no progress over an extension.
As a result, his situation is being monitored by numerous clubs and The Sun claims that the Red Devils could make a shock winter raid for his services.
United recently jumped to seventh on the Premier League table following a stunning 3-2 comeback win over Southampton on the road.
Edinson Cavani was the difference maker off the bench in the second half with an assist and two goals. He scored the winner in the 92nd minute.
