Arsenal consider Maurizio Sarri for managerial role?
Arsenal would reportedly consider Maurizio Sarri for the head coach position, suppose they part ways with Mikel Arteta during the current campaign.
The Gunners started the campaign in fine fashion under Arteta as they won the Community Shield while picking up maximum points from the first two games of the Premier League season.
However, their form has since been poor in the league and they have picked up just two more wins from the next eight matches. In this period, they have suffered as many as five defeats.
Arteta's position is not under immediate danger, but StadioSport claims that the hierarchy could look to the services of Sarri in case they decide to part ways with the Spaniard at some stage of the season.
Sarri was previously with Chelsea for a single season between 2018 and 2019 where he helped them win the Europa League. He made the switch to Juventus thereafter, but was sacked last summer despite guiding them to the Serie A title.
