Mikel Arteta provides fresh injury update on Thomas Partey
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided a fresh injury update on Thomas Partey ahead of the Premier League clash against Burnley.
The Ghana international recently made his comeback from a thigh injury to face Tottenham Hotspur, but he managed only 45 minutes before he suffered a recurrence of the same problem.
Speaking ahead of Sunday's game against Burnley, Arteta confirmed that Partey won't be available and added that he could be out of action for a few matches.
"Thomas will be out for a few games. It is the same area where he got injured previously, he felt it again and we will have to see how long it is going to take to heal," He told via Arsenal.com.
The north London giants are currently winless in four league matches. They have the opportunity to turn things around against the Clarets on Sunday night.
The Gunners have an exceptional record against their opponents with 28 points picked from the previous 10 games and they will start as the favourites.
Arsenal are currently languishing in the 15th position with just 13 points. They are already eight points adrift of the top-four places and desperately need a win this weekend.
