Frank Lampard wants to keep Emerson?
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has no plans of selling Emerson Palmieri when the transfer window reopens at the end of December.
The Italian left-back has fallen out-of-favour for the league duties since the arrival of Ben Chilwell from Leicester City last summer.
However, he has still been a regular when it comes to the Cup competitions and recently played against Sevilla and Krasnodar in the Champions League.
According to Football.London, Lampard won't look to part ways with Emerson, having been impressed with his recent showing in Europe.
Napoli have been looking to prise the defender away from the Blues, but they may have to pursue a different target next month.
Meanwhile, the Blues could still offload a left-back during the next transfer window with Marcos Alonso deemed surplus to requirements.
The Spaniard has not played a single minute of first-team football since September and seems certain to leave the club in January at least on loan.
