Jurgen Klopp confirms Liverpool injury boost ahead of Fulham clash
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said that goalkeeper Alisson Becker could make his comeback for the forthcoming Premier League clash against Fulham.
The Brazil international has missed the past three games with a hamstring injury and in his absence, club graduate Caoimhin Kelleher has done an impressive job between the sticks.
Speaking ahead of the Fulham game, Klopp has confirmed that Alisson will report for training and he could play on Sunday, provided there are no setbacks.
"Ali will train today, that’s what I’ve heard. I came in and came directly to the press so all the meetings are after that and yes, Ali will train and if he trains and all fine, then he can play," He said via The Mirror.
Liverpool have been hampered by numerous injury concerns this term, but they have mostly felt the pinch in the defence where they are missing starting centre-backs in Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez.
Still, they have continued to excel in the Premier League and recently won 4-0 against Wolverhampton Wanderers. They are currently only goal difference behind Tottenham Hotspur for the top position.
Klopp's side will face Fulham on the road this weekend. They have a stellar record against the Cottagers and have beaten them in the previous six top-flight matches.
