Ole Gunnar Solskjaer provides fitness update on Manchester United duo

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided a fitness update on Anthony Martial and Edinson Cavani ahead of the Manchester derby.

The duo missed the midweek Champions League clash against RB Leipzig with minor knocks and that proved costly as the Red Devils suffered a 3-2 defeat and were eliminated from the competition.

Ahead of Saturday's derby against Manchester City, Solskjaer has now revealed that Martial will definitely be involved, but he is doubtful whether Cavani will made his comeback.

"Anthony will definitely be involved and Edinson has been on the grass today. But I’m not sure if he’ll make it. Apart from that, we’ve had a couple of days of recovery and we should be ready," He told via United's official website.

United have been in splendid form in the league with four wins on the bounce, but their first half displays against Southampton and West Ham United were far from convincing.

The same was the case during the recent European meeting at Leipzig and they eventually paid the price as they could not secure the point which would have seen them progress to the round of 16.
