Liverpool open to selling 25-year-old forward

Divock Origi news

Origi on the move?

Liverpool are open to parting ways with Divock Origi during the forthcoming transfer window.

The Belgian has made nearly 150 appearances for the Reds and 42 of those outings came during the 2019/2020 season.

However, he has played just seven minutes of league football this term and has struggled for gametime despite the club's injury concerns.

Hence, he could be on the move this winter and The Athletic claims that Wolverhampton Wanderers could approach to sign him.

The west Midlands outfit have a long-standing interest in the forward and they want him to cover up for Raul Jimenez's absence.

Jimenez recently had a surgery for a skull fracture and it is unclear when he could return to action for Nuno Espirito Santo's men.

Origi's current deal does not expire until the summer of 2024. It was previously claimed that the Reds could demand around £25m.

Aside from Origi, there is still speculation surrounding the future of Georginio Wijnaldum with his Reds contract expiring next summer.

Wijnaldum has yet to agree to a suitable extension and he would be free to speak with foreign clubs at the turn of the year.
