Frank Lampard to hand chance to Chelsea graduate?

Chelsea defender Marc Guehi could be handed the chance to impress in the Premier League next season, The Athletic claims.

The 20-year-old spent the second half of the previous campaign on loan with Swansea City and the deal was extended for another 12 months in the summer.

In this period, he has established himself as one of the leading centre-backs in the Championship and he could make the step up to the top-flight next term.

Frank Lampard has been impressed with the youngster's progress and he is prepared to integrate him into his pre-season plans ahead of next season.

The Blues are expected to part ways with a number of fringe players in the near future and that should offer more gametime for some graduates.

The likes of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen could head for the exit door next summer and Guehi could directly benefit from that.

Chelsea are currently sixth on the Premier League table with 22 points, six behind Liverpool, who are leading the standings.
