Arsenal provide fresh injury update on Partey and Aubameyang
Arsenal have provided a fresh injury update on Thomas Partey and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ahead of tomorrow's League Cup quarter-final against Manchester City.
The north London club have endured a dismal start to the 2020/21 campaign and they are currently 15th in the Premier League after 14 games with as many points.
Aubameyang was ruled out for the recent Everton defeat with a minor calf issue and the Gunners have confirmed that he may only return for next weekend's league derby against Chelsea.
Elsewhere, Partey will play no part in the encounter either. The Ghana international suffered a recurrence of a thigh injury in the north London derby this month and no return date has been mentioned.
Arsenal will go into the League Cup tie as underdogs, having picked up just five points from the previous 10 Premier League matches where they have scored just three goals.
In the absence of Aubameyang, the capital outfit face a tough task of finding the back of the net against the Cityzens, who have beaten them in eight of the previous nine meetings.
