Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly keen on signing Manchester United defender Brandon Williams next month.

Williams made his breakthrough last term and he made 36 appearances across all competitions, the majority of those coming at left-back.

However, he has managed just five appearances this season amid the fresh competition from summer signing Alex Telles.

The club graduate is currently behind Luke Shaw and Telles in the pecking order and Sky Sports News claims that Leverkusen are looking to sign him.

The German outfit were monitoring his proceedings in the summer and they now want him to replace Santiago Arias, who is out with a long-term injury.

Leverkusen are eager to secure his services on a permanent basis, but reports claim that United are only willing to entertain a temporary exit for the player.

Aside from Leverkusen, Southampton have also been credited with an interest in Williams, who is naturally a right-sided full-back.

Williams has started both League Cup games for United and he could feature in tomorrow's quarter-final against Everton on the road.
