Real Madrid has declared interested in Cristiano Ronaldo and is reportedly in talks with the player's agent. With Manchester United reluctant in allowing the club's best player to leave, it might be the other Portugese winger on the move.

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has made it known that signing Cristiano Ronaldo is his top priority and is reportedly putting forward an astonishing £ 160,000-a-week for the United top scorer.

The Whites technical director flew to England and was reportedly in talks with Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes.

Jorge Mendes stated that all the top clubs want Ronaldo, and his future depends on Manchester United. Ronaldo is the highest-paid United player on £ 120,000-a-week and his contract is intact till 2010.

Mendes who is also the agent of fellow winger Nani, has confirmed that the talks with Real Madrid might not always be about Ronaldo.

"I am a football agent and I have meetings with people from Madrid and Barcelona all the time, but it is not always about Cristiano."

Nani joined Old Trafford from Portugese club Sporting, the same team that nurtured Cristiano Ronaldo. He has a £ 17M release clause and his contract runs until 2011.
