Ozil set for Turkish move

The brother of Arsenal midfielder Mutlu Ozil has dropped a massive hint on his Instagram account that Mesut Ozil will soon be moving to Turkish side Fenerbahce. It is understood that Ozil will move on a free transfer, with Arsenal covering 40 percent of the player's salary over the next 6 months.

Mutlu Ozil posted a picture of Fenerbahce's club crest, with a winking emoji alongside the graphic.

Ozil has often suggested that he would one day like to move to Turkey to finish his career, and with Fenerbahce, Besiktas and Galatasaray all rumoured to be in the race to sign the former German international, Fener will be delighted to have beaten their rivals to the 32-year-old creative midfielder.

Ozil will arguably become the highest profile transfer to make the move to Turkey, with the attacking midfielder set to receive a £4 million pay off to leave the North London out fit early.

The controversial midfielder has been vocal on Twitter and Facebook in recent months, hinting that he was happy to fight for his place at Arsenal, despite manager Mikel Arteta not assigning Ozil a shirt number for the 2020-21 season.
