Arsenal reach agreement to sign Real Madrid attacker
Arsenal have finally reached an agreement to sign Real Madrid attacker Martin Odegaard on loan for the rest of the season.
The Norwegian has been tipped to join the north London side in recent days and the club have eventually finalise a short-term deal with Los Blancos.
Initially, the 22-year-old was fancied to return to Real Sociedad, but he was convinced to join the Gunners after a phone call from manager Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners won't have the option to buy the attacker, but Marca claims that Los Blancos could be willing to negotiate a fee in the summer.
Arteta's side have recently found success in the Premier League and have picked up 13 points from the previous five matches.
The form of Emith Smith Rowe has been impressive from the number 10 spot (three assists), but his game time may be affected with Odegaard's arrival.
The Gunners will be aiming to climb into the top half of the Premier League table when they face Southampton on the road on Tuesday.
