Manchester United looking at Bundesliga centre-back?
Manchester United have identified RB Leipzig centre-back Ibrahima Konate as one of the top targets for the summer.
The Red Devils have been fancied to sign a new central defender to partner Harry Maguire for the 2021/22 campaign.
The likes of Kalidou Koulibaly and Dayot Upamecano have been regularly linked, but The Independent claims that they are keeping tabs on Konate.
The Frenchman has struggled with his injuries during his early career, but has been a regular starter in the defence when fit.
He has recently returned following an ankle injury, but United are still monitoring him ahead of a possible summer approach.
Konate's present deal with Leipzig has a £45m release clause and the Bundesliga side may not sell him for anything less.
Aside from United, the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in the 21-year-old.
Konate played against the Red Devils in both Champions League group stage games and he will come up against Liverpool later this month.
