De Gea set to miss six more games for Man United

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea won't be available for the rest of the month due to personal reasons, Manchester Evening News reports.

The Spaniard was absent for last night's Premier League draw at Crystal Palace where Dean Henderson started between the sticks.

Henderson had relatively little to do, but he came up with a superb late save which ensured that United took a point from the game.

It is now reported that De Gea may not be available for the next six matches and Henderson will keep his place in goal.

United have yet to reveal the reason behind De Gea's absence, but he has reportedly returned to Spain to be with his partner for the birth of their first child.

Due to quarantine protocols in place, the 30-year-old can't return to action until next month as he is out of the bio-bubble.

Henderson has the chance to impress in goal and strengthen his prospects of becoming the club's number one which remains his ultimate aim.
