Manchester City want to sign Atalanta defender
Manchester City will make an approach for Atalanta BC defender Robin Gosens when the transfer window reopens this summer.
Gosens was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League last summer but ultimately, it was his teammate Timothy Castagne, who made the switch with Leicester City.
The German started his career at left-back, but he has played regularly in the wing-back position this term, contributing nine goals and six assists from 30 appearances.
His form has caught the eye of the Cityzens boss Pep Guardiola and Tuttomercato claims that he has been identified as a possible replacement for Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Gosens' current deal with Atalanta expires in June next year and the Serie A outfit may be forced to sell him this summer if he refuses to put pen-to-paper on an extension.
Chelsea were previously credited with an interest in the 26-year-old, but they appear unlikely to revive their pursuit, having signed Ben Chilwell from the Foxes last summer.
