Salah has impressed for the Reds this term with 24 goals, but there are suggestions that he could move on.

He will enter the final two years of his contract this summer and he has been linked with both Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The Merseyside outfit have endured a dreadful second half to the league season and are on a six-match losing streak at home.

This sees them lying in the seventh spot and they may miss out on qualification for the Champions League.

In such a case, their chances of signing Mbappe may be bleak while they may also struggle to meet his wage demands.
