Manchester United to enter bidding war for 31-goal striker
Manchester United could compete with Manchester United, Chelsea among others to sign Erling Braut Haaland this summer.
The Red Devils are lacking the presence of a genuine goalscoring striker and they are likely to make a marquee signing this summer.
According to Eurosport, the club are bracing for the departure of Edinson Cavani, who feels unsettled in Manchester.
It is added that United could compete with some of Europe's elite clubs to sign Haaland, who has been a revelation for Borussia Dortmund.
The 20-year-old has netted 31 goals from just 29 appearances for Dortmund this term and there are suggestions that he could move on this summer.
His current contract has a release clause worth £68m, but that does not become active until the summer of 2022.
Still, Dortmund have been tipped to sell him for a significantly higher fee of £100m when the transfer window reopens.
Haaland recently become the fastest player in Champions League history to register 20 goals. He achieved the feat from just 14 games.
