United could be without seven players for Milan clash

Manchester United are likely to be without seven players for the upcoming Europa League round of 16 tie against AC Milan.

The Red Devils host the Rossoneri in the first leg on Thursday and ahead of the game, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided a team update.

It is already known that Juan Mata and Phil Jones are unavailable due to knee concerns while David de Gea is away on personal leave.

Solskjaer revealed that Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek continue to remain unavailable with thigh and calf injuries respectively.

Marcus Rashford has a swelling on his ankle picked up during the Manchester derby and he is set to miss tomorrow's European tie.

Meanwhile, Edinson Cavani is also expected to be sidelined after sustaining a fresh muscle injury in training last week.

Despite the injuries, United will be favourites to beat the Rossoneri, who are also missing several key players ahead of the game.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Mario Mandzukic, Hakan Calhanoglu, Theo Hernandez, Ismael Bennacer and Ante Rebic are all out injured.
